Nextel Cup driver Kevin Harvick hopes to join a growing list of drivers planning to run both the Cup and Busch series schedules next season. Harvick said Saturday he wants to run the entire Busch schedule in Richard Childress Racings No. 21 Chevrolet in 2006. RCR is still working to secure sponsorship for the program. Already, drivers Reed Sorenson, Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards are planning to run both series full-time next season. Former Wyler Racing and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Chad Chaffin will reunite with Day Enterprises and will pilot the #16 Busch car for the O'Reilly Challenge 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. The last time Chaffin, who also piloted the Germain Racing Toyota in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series earlier this year, drove for the team rolls back to 2002 where the duo collected a best starting position of 22nd (April 2002) at Nashville with a best finish of 12th at Talladega in April. Kertus Davis must have said all the right things in his interview. Less than 24 hours after his first meeting with FitzBradshaw Racing, Davis worked out a deal Friday to drive the teams No. 12 Dodge in next weekends Busch Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Davis said he was contacted by team owner Armando Fitz and Dodge on Thursday, because of what he and his father had accomplished on a shoestring budget. Davis best finish so far this season was a 10th at Talladega in April. He also qualified 11th at Pikes Peak in July.

On Friday afternoon, Evernham talked with Atwood and his BGN team owner Clarence Brewer. New GM: #13 Team Gordon and Robby Gordon announced that Richard Buck has been hired as General Manager, effective with this weekend's Die Hard 500 at Talladega. Adrants » Month of: Apr-04
From May 24 to May 26, Adrants will be in San Francisco covering AD:Tech, a new media and online marketing trade show, for both this website and for MarketingVOX. News will be provided in near real-time as a team of webloggers will be sitting in each of the sessions at the trade show. As a remote controlled blimp advertising Salisbury North Carolina-based Cloninger Ford-Toyota floated in a field above competing Team Chevrolet-Cadillac-Geo, a man got out of a black Chevrolet truck with Team Chevrolet plates, pulled out a shotgun and fired at the blimp. He then got back into the truck and left.

New to the team but not the sport is Jeremy "The Riddler" Riddle #213. After taking several years off to recover from injury Jeremy is back for the titles in '05. Also new to the team for '05 is Trevor Jutila #198, 2004 125A and Pro Open Champion. Three-time Australian champion Michael Byrne, 25, is also returning to Team Chevy Trucks Kawasaki. Byrne is a five-time member of Australia's Motocross des Nations team and played an integral role in his country's 2002 World Cup Championship. Leading the charge is returning team member and current 125 Western Regional champion Ivan Tedesco of Murrieta, Calif. In 2004, the 22-year old New Mexico native took home his first career championship aboard an all-new four-stroke motorcycle, the Kawasaki KX250F.

Dick Trickle - Double Duty
"It's pretty nice to get double the track time," says Kenseth, who's been running both NBS and NWCS events this year. He's also learning the nuances of a Chevy in the NBS and a Ford in the NWCS. At the race weekend at California Speedway in April, he won the NBS race in the No. 17 Visine Chevrolet on Saturday, and finished third in Sunday's NWCS race. "It's seat time, and you're able to carry information from car to car even though they're different," Bodine says. Dick Trickle will drive the #60 Power Team Chevrolet for Bessey Motorsports this weekend in the UAW-GM 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series event at the Lowe's Motor Speedway near Charlotte. Trickle is the 1989 NASCAR Winston Cup Rookie of the Year and has 296 career Winston Cup starts. His best career finish in Winston Cup competition is third and he has finished three races in that position. Trickle made three starts in the Power Team Chevrolet earlier in the 2000 season. Opening practice for the UAW-GM 500 got underway Wednesday at the Lowe's Motor Speedway. Dick Trickle was 29th quickest in the three hour session while driving the #60 Power Team Chevrolet. The session got off to a slow start. Track conditions differ greatly between the afternoon practice session and the evening qualifying session and teams are limited in what they can learn in an afternoon session. Only three cars took to the track in the first twenty minutes of practice. When the Power Team car made it onto the track, Trickle told the team that the car was very loose in the middle and on the exits of the turns. He said that it was hard for him to get on the gas quick enough in the corners without having the rear of the car start to slide towards the wall. The team made several chassis adjustments and he found the car more to his liking later in the session. The lap speeds were quicker too.
